How can we help?

How does the Universal Search work?

The Universal Search lets you find any content within Humand from a single access point, so you don’t have to navigate through each module separately.

  • The search is available in two places depending on the platform:

Humand Web: from the search bar in the navbar, accessible from any screen. You can also activate it using the available keyboard shortcut.

Humand App (mobile): from the search icon on the home screen.

Search bar in the Humand Web navbar
  • When you type a query, a dropdown appears with a preview of the most relevant results, sorted by relevance. Each result has an icon showing which module it belongs to.

In this version, you can search for: posts, groups, users, and news.

The search is not case-sensitive and ignores accents and diacritics: searching for "peru" will find "Perú". To search for an exact phrase, put it in quotes: "new vacation policy".

  • When you press Enter or click See all results, the Full View opens, which includes:

    • A sidebar with module filters to narrow down your results.

    • The results area with all items matching your search, sorted from most to least relevant.

Results load progressively as you scroll.

  • Results respect each user’s permissions: only content the user has access to within the community will appear.

When you click on a result, you’ll be taken directly to that item in the corresponding module.

If there are no results for your search, the system will show an empty state with suggestions to broaden your search or check for typos.

With Universal Search, you can find posts, groups, users, and news in seconds, from anywhere on the platform.
