When a goal belongs to a cycle with custom formulas, its detail shows the Provisional result: the value that goal gets when the formula is applied to your current progress. This way you know how your result would be calculated before a performance review starts.
-
To see the provisional result of a goal:
- Go to app.humand.co and open Goals.
- In the selector at the top, choose the goal's cycle.
- In My goals, click the goal you want to check.
In Goal details, the Provisional result panel appears to the right of the progress bar. In the side panel, the Formula field shows which formula applies to that goal.
The panel only appears on goals that have a custom formula. If the goal has no formula, the detail shows only the progress bar.
-
If you hover over the information icon next to Provisional result, you will see that this value reflects the result that would be obtained when evaluating the goal in a performance cycle.
Keep in mind:
- The result is updated every time new progress is recorded on the goal.
- It shows the value returned by the formula directly, without applying the scale of a performance review, because the same goal can be part of several review cycles.
- It can differ from the progress percentage. For example, with progress of 40 out of a target of 50, progress is 80%, and if the formula rewards achievement, the provisional result can be 96.00.
To keep the provisional result in line with your actual situation, keep your goals' progress up to date. If you need help, see How do I update a goal's progress?
