The template defines what evaluators will fill in during an evaluation cycle: the instructions, the questions and, if you need it, the rating of goals and competencies. It also lets you choose the order in which each section of the form appears.
-
- Go to admin.humand.co and open Performance → Templates.
- Click New template.
- Enter the Template name (up to 250 characters).
- If you want to guide evaluators, click Add instructions and write what they should keep in mind when answering.
-
In the Questions section you can add questions in two ways:
Option How it works Question bank In the panel on the right, find a saved question and click + to add it. Create question Click Create question to build a new one from scratch. To learn about the available question types, check How do I create a question?
-
Turn on these sections if you want evaluators to also rate each collaborator's goals or competencies:
Section What it allows Include goals Lets evaluators rate and answer about each of the collaborator's goals. Choose how progress is taken: Automatic (calculated from the goal completion progress) or Manual (the evaluator enters the progress). Include competencies Lets evaluators rate the collaborator's competencies. You can edit the question's Title and Description, and choose the answer type: Score, Single answer, or Multiple answer. For more details, check How do I integrate my community's goals into performance evaluations? and How do I assign competencies to a performance evaluation?
-
You can set the order in which evaluators see the Questions, Goals, and Competencies sections. For example, you can put the goals first and leave the open questions for the end.
- To the left of each section, use the Move up and Move down arrows.
- Repeat until the sections are in the order you prefer.
When evaluators open the form, they see the evaluation sections in the order you set in the template.
-
- Click Preview to review the questions as evaluators will see them.
- When everything is ready, click Create template.
Once created, you can use the template in any evaluation cycle.
