How can we help?

What should the configuration of a vacation policy in Argentina look like?

For Vacations in Argentina, the following configurations can be used as general guidelines for the policy:

  • The Benefit section for vacations in Argentina should have the following configurations:

    • Right to benefit: Basic annual benefit.
    • Annual benefit: 14 days.
    • Activity period: “Oct-Sep”.
    • Accumulation time: Start of the cycle.

  • In the prorated benefit, we must configure the days to calculate the proration as calendar days.

    • Remaining balance limit: Depends on the community.

      • If they can be carried over from one year to the next without limit: leave off
      • If they cannot be carried over from one year to the next: set the value to 0 (zero)
      • If a certain number of days can be carried over: enter the possible number of days.
    • Remaining balance expiration: 3 months

    • Maximum and minimum balances: depends on your company.

  • Enable benefit increase for years of service, configuring 7 extra days at 5, 10, and 20 years.

From Special Settings, it is possible to enable two configurations:

    - Apply calculation based on Argentine law. According to Argentine law, the calculation of seniority for a cycle (October-September) is considered up to December 31. It is possible to configure a special cycle adjustment so that seniority is calculated this way.

    - Proportional vacation days for new hires. Automatically grants the proportional number of vacation days according to the hire date, for people with less than one year of seniority as of December 31.

  • The shortest period that can be requested is generally 7 days.

  • Configure the approval flow of requests for your community as needed.

By following these suggestions, you can have the Vacation policy configuration in Argentina ready.
