The One Time Password (OTP) is a code sent via text message (SMS) to the collaborator, which works only once and allows a more secure login to the community. It could also be called SMS Login.
That is, when a user attempts to log in, a unique and temporary code is sent to the user via text message. This code is required to complete the login process.
OTP is a method that provides an additional layer of security, as the code is generated only once and is valid only for a limited period of time.
What is the collaborator's experience like when logging in with OTP?
- The collaborator enters their user in any of Humand's platforms (Web, App or Admin).
- Confirms that the last digits of their phone number are correct.
- They are informed that a code will be sent by SMS, press the "Send" button to receive it.
- You must enter the code received.
- If the number is incorrect or if you do not receive the code, contact our Support team.
How can I activate it?
To activate the functionality in your community, please contact your account executive (Onboarding Leader or Success Manager).
After activating OTP
- It is turned on for all community users, no exceptions.
- All users who are already logged in (web, mobile or admin) will continue with their logged in sessions.
- New users, users who have never logged in and/or have been logged out, will have to log in via OTP.
