How do I enable the OTP (One Time Password)?

  • Updated

The One Time Password (OTP) is a code sent via text message (SMS) to the collaborator, which works only once and allows a more secure login to the community. It could also be called SMS Login.

That is, when a user attempts to log in, a unique and temporary code is sent to the user via text message. This code is required to complete the login process.

OTP is a method that provides an additional layer of security, as the code is generated only once and is valid only for a limited period of time.

What is the collaborator's experience like when logging in with OTP?

  1. The collaborator enters their user in any of Humand's platforms (Web, App or Admin).
  2. Confirms that the last digits of their phone number are correct.
  3. They are informed that a code will be sent by SMS, press the "Send" button to receive it.
  4. You must enter the code received.
  5. If the number is incorrect or if you do not receive the code, contact our Support team.

How can I activate it?

To activate the functionality in your community, please contact your account executive (Onboarding Leader or Success Manager).

After activating OTP

  1. It is turned on for all community users, no exceptions.
  2. All users who are already logged in (web, mobile or admin) will continue with their logged in sessions.
  3. New users, users who have never logged in and/or have been logged out, will have to log in via OTP.
