How does 9-box work?

The 9-box matrix is a tool with 9 quadrants that allows to visualize in an agile way the performance of the evaluated employees. Collaborators are positioned in the different quadrants according to the intersection of the scores obtained on each axis of the graph. Generally speaking, from left to right and from bottom to top, employees are positioned from worst to best performance.

The axis configuration is based on:

  • Axis X: Qualification of goals.
  • Axis Y: Potential, defined by the qualification of evaluation score type questions.

The intersection between the scores obtained for each axis defines the collaborator's location.

General conditions

For the 9-box to exist for a cycle, it must simultaneously meet the following conditions (if both conditions are not met, the 9-box cannot be displayed for the cycle in question):

  • Have scoring type questions (at least one)
  • Have a template with active goals evaluated by score

Functionality

The 9-box will be displayed in a new Results section within the administration panel of the cycle in question.

The profile photos of the collaborators will be positioned in the coordinates according to the scores obtained for each axis.

The 9-box is accessible in real time, i.e. it is not necessary for the evaluation to be completed in order to access and view it.
