How can we help?

How do I restore a collaborator's facial recognition photo?

When the system has trouble recognizing a collaborator at clock-in, you can restore their Facial recognition photo from the Admin Panel. This deletes the registered reference photo, and the collaborator takes a new one when they start their next shift.

  • First, open the profile of the collaborator whose photo you want to restore:

    1. Go to admin.humand.co and open Users.
    2. Search for the collaborator by name, username or email.
    3. Click the three dots ⋮ on their row and select View profile.

  • In the Information tab of the profile, find the Access Methods card. There you will see the Facial recognition photo field with one of these statuses:

    Status What it means
Set The collaborator has already registered their reference photo. This is the status in which you can restore it.
Not set There is no registered photo yet. It will be registered when the collaborator starts their next shift from the app.

Click the edit icon ✏️ on the Access Methods card.

The Facial recognition photo field appears when the collaborator has a time policy with facial recognition validation, or when they already have a registered photo.

  • From the edit panel, confirm the photo restore:

    1. In the Edit Access Methods panel, click Restore, next to the Set status.
Edit Access Methods panel with the Restore button for the Facial recognition photo
    1. In the confirmation window, click Restore.

You will see the message Facial recognition photo successfully restored, and the field status will change to Not set.

The restore is applied as soon as you confirm it, without clicking Save. The previous photo is deleted, and the collaborator will need to register their identity again, as they did the first time, when they start their next shift.

Restoring the photo lets the collaborator register an updated image and improves recognition accuracy on their next clock-ins. If the issue happens at a Kiosk terminal, see How does the multiple matches flow work in Touchless Kiosk and how can they be resolved?
