Below, we will detail how article segmentation logic works in the Knowledge Libraries module. We will use two examples to explain how the tool operates:
- Example 1: Parent article visible to all collaborators with segmented child articles.
As of today, if a parent article is segmented for all users, it will be visible to everyone. However, if there are sub-articles beneath it that are segmented, and the user is not assigned to them, they will not be able to see all the content. Instead, they will only view the content that has been assigned to them. -
Example 2: Segmented parent article but child articles visible to all collaborators.
All users will be able to view the parent article and Child Article 1. The parent article is what enables the visibility of the child article that is open to all collaborators.
Users from Segmentation Group 1 will be able to view the parent article, the child article visible to all, and the child article segmented specifically for them.
Users from Segmentation Group 2 will be able to view the parent article, the universally visible child article, and the one assigned to them according to their segmentation.
