This feature allows you to define hour categories (for example: overtime, night hours, weekend or holiday hours) and set up logical rules that determine how hours are automatically calculated within each category.
Once configured, the rules are automatically applied to all employees and the results are displayed in the time tracking reports.
To create categories and rules, follow the steps below:
1. Log in to Humand Admin.
2. Go to the Attendance Control > General Settings section.
3. Click the "+ Categorize hours" button.
4. Once inside, you’ll need to fill in the following information:
- Category name
- Description
- Category effective date
5. Next, you’ll need to create the rules for that category, which let you logically define when worked hours fall into a category. Each category can have one or more rules. Hours are counted in the category when all the conditions of a rule are met.
Rule structure
Logic type
Defines the main field on which the condition is evaluated.
Condition
Determines the type of comparison being made.
Value / Sub-value
Defines what the selected condition is evaluated against.
Calculation behavior
- Rules are evaluated per day.
- Comparisons of worked hours and scheduled hours are made based on the daily total.
- If a category has multiple rules, the resulting hours are accumulated within the category.
- If a rule doesn’t apply on a given day, it won’t generate categorized hours.
6. Once you’ve set the conditions, click "Create rule", and you’re all set!
