Allows you to set up two independent restrictions in vacation policies to comply with labor laws: requests must be in blocks of 7 consecutive days (or multiples), and/or must start on a Monday or the first working day of the week.
-
- Go to admin.humand.co.
- Navigate to Vacations and Leave → Policies.
- Open the policy you want to configure.
- In the request rules section, turn on one or both toggles as needed:
- Requests in multiples of 7
- Start on Monday
- Save your changes.
Both restrictions are independent at the policy level: you can enable them together or separately.
-
Checks that the number of days requested is a multiple of 7 (7, 14, 21, 28…).
Situation Behavior The available balance is a multiple of 7 The employee must request in blocks of 7, 14, 21, etc. The available balance is not a multiple of 7 (e.g., 13 days) They can request 7 or the full balance (13), but not 10. The balance is less than 7 days (e.g., 4 proportional days) They can request the full balance as an exception. Holidays that fall within the vacation period do not affect the balance calculation. Vacation days are counted as consecutive days.
-
Checks that the request starts on a Monday. Invalid days are blocked on the employee's calendar.
Situation Behavior Monday is a working day Only Monday can be selected as the start date. Monday is a holiday The system enables the next working day as a valid start date. Important: For the system to correctly detect holidays, they must be set up in a region and employees must be assigned to that region.
