How do I set the community brand color?

You can set your community brand color from the Admin Panel. The selected color is applied on the web platform and in the mobile app for all collaborators, in buttons, accents, and brand backgrounds.

This is a community-level setting, not an individual preference. Each collaborator can still choose their own light, dark, or system mode.

  1. Go to admin.humand.co and open Settings → General.
  2. In the General tab, scroll down to the Appearance section.

    1. In Community color, select the Recommended colors tab.
    2. Click the color you want to use. In Preview you can see how it will look in different elements of the platform; use the arrows to browse the examples.

Recommended colors are part of the Humand palette and ensure good contrast and accessibility.

    1. Select the Custom tab.
    2. Move the selector along the color bar until you find the shade you want. Humand automatically generates the rest of the palette from that shade.

For a custom color, only the hue is adjusted; saturation and lightness are set by the system to keep visual consistency. Because of this, the result may not exactly match a corporate hex color. You can save one custom color per community.

  • Click Save. The new color is applied to the whole community without collaborators having to log out.

  • Changes with the brand color:

    • Buttons, accents, and brand backgrounds in the collaborator experience (web and mobile app).
    • The color also adapts when the collaborator has dark mode turned on.

    Stays the same:

    • System message colors (success, error, and warning).
    • The Admin Panel, which keeps the default Humand color.
    • Each collaborator's personal light, dark, or system mode preference.

To complete your community's visual identity, you can also update the logo from the same section. See How do I change the community logo?
