How do I set the community brand color?

You can set your community’s brand color directly from Admin. The color you choose will be applied on both web and mobile app for all members, showing up in buttons, accents, and brand backgrounds.

This setting applies at the community level—it’s not an individual preference. Each member can still choose their own light, dark, or system mode separately.

  •

    1. Go to the Admin Panel
    2. Navigate to SettingsGeneral tab.
    3. Open the Appearance section.
    4. Pick your brand color and save your changes.

Once saved, the new color will show up for the whole community—users don’t need to log out or back in.

  • Option Description
Recommended colors A curated palette by Humand with preset options (Humand blue, purple, green, and other design system variants). These guarantee contrast and accessibility.
Custom color Pick your own shade using a hue selector. Humand automatically generates the rest of the palette based on your chosen hue. Only one custom color can be saved per community.

For custom colors, you can only adjust the hue; the system sets saturation and brightness to keep the look consistent. The result might not match a specific corporate hex code exactly.

  • What changes with the brand color:

    • Buttons, accents, and brand backgrounds in the member experience (web and mobile app).
    • The color also adapts if a member has dark mode enabled.

    What doesn’t change:

    • Semantic feedback colors (success, error, warning)—these stay the same.
    • The Admin panel, which always uses Humand blue no matter what color you set.
    • Each member’s personal light/dark/system mode preference.
