How do I identify a policy type as Home Office?

You can mark a Time Off Policy Type as Home Office (remote work). This allows Time Tracking to automatically identify approved requests under that policy as remote work days and process them correctly in attendance records.

  • In Admin PanelVacation and LeavePolicy Types, you can set this option when creating or editing a Policy Type.

  • When the Activity Type field of the Policy Type is set to Work, the Work Activity Type selector appears with two options:

    • Standard work activity: in-person or non-differentiated workday.
    • Remote work: equivalent to Home Office. Selecting this option marks the type as Home Office.

If the Activity Type is "Work," the Work Activity Type field is required: you can't save the policy type without choosing one of the two options.

  • The Unit and Activity Type fields are locked once the Policy Type is created and cannot be changed.
  • The Work Activity Type field (standard or remote) can be edited after creation.
  • When a request under a Policy Type marked as Remote work is approved or canceled, the system records that information in the request event. Time Tracking receives this data and can automatically identify that the day is a remote workday, processing it separately in attendance records.
