How do I set up recurrence when assigning a shift template?

When assigning a shift template, you can enable recurrence so the cycle repeats automatically once it ends, without having to reassign it manually. This option is only available for templates.

  • When assigning a template (from Work Shifts+Assign template), turn on the Repeat template toggle. Once enabled, the End repeat field appears with three options:

    • Never: the template repeats indefinitely until you stop it manually.
    • After X times: it repeats for a set number of cycles and then stops automatically.
    • On a specific date: it repeats until the date you choose, and won't generate cycles beyond that date.

  • Once the template is assigned, each shift appears in the schedule as an individual shift. Shifts that belong to a template with active recurrence are marked with a recurrence icon.
  • From the schedule, click the context menu on any shift from the template → Remove template recurrence.
    • Past shifts and those in the current cycle are not changed.
    • New cycles will stop being generated once the current cycle ends.
    • If the template was assigned to multiple team members at once, you can choose whether to stop recurrence for just that team member or for all team members with that template.
  • Editing the shifts or breaks in a template does not affect cycles that have already been generated. Changes only apply to new assignments made from that point on. If a recurring template is already running, future cycles that haven't been generated yet will include the changes.
